Edinburgh Day 20 (8/17)

Today we got some more good news - our mandolin player, who was the first to start testing positive for COVID, is now testing negative. So we’re one step closer to being able to get back on stage.

Otherwise, it wasn’t a particularly adventurous day. It was a typical morning routine, and a quiet afternoon, until I ventured out to a sandwich place called Alby’s to meet a cast mate for food and a walk on the Waters of Leith. After a delicious chicken focaccia sandwich (and some gelato 😎) we split up, and I walked up the hill to a cocktail bar called Nauticus that had been recommended to me by a couple of folks. It did not disappoint.

I had 2 delicious cocktails, and got to hang a bit with a good doggo named Pippin. I definitely dig the tendency for folks to bring their dogs with them to (and into) bars here.

After leaving Nauticus, I headed to the flat and to bed early. Tomorrow we plan to hit a farmer’s market and an afternoon show parodying Jurassic Park!
