Edinburgh Day 9 (8/6)
Another morning of the routine. Today with a test rowing workout at the gym. It’s got to be a decade since I’ve done one of those.
One of today’s adventures is my second attempt at flyering. We’ve got a larger crew signed up today, including two of our musicians. The plan is to head to the space. Outside the Assembly Rooms venues and sort of busk a bit, and give temporary tattoos and flyers out to folks that stop to listen to the music. This ended up going much better than my solo flyering attempt, and we got a bunch of people to take pictures with the bone fiddle, handed a some flyers and tats, and even had a couple quid thrown into the mandolin case. Hopefully this will translate into more folks in the audience.
The second adventure on the day was the show. In the house today would be a photographer, as well as a social media person. They were doing a thing called Vox Pops, where immediately after the show they’d capture sound bites and reviews from folks in the audience as they left the theatre. I’m interested to see what comes out of that.
The show itself went well, including our swing’s second time going on. Tomorrow she’s on again, but this time in a new track!
